What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
My most memorable project was the Adopt A Room project. It was a healthcare job where two specialty rooms were converted into longer term rooms for the kids with cancer or other terminal illnesses. They were state of the art rooms with lots of built-in activities for the kids to do and feel more at home. I always love projects where a difference is made in the lives of others.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
I was working in retail management when a friend introduced me to a job opening at Kraus-Anderson. Since I always knew the name as they were an active part of building schools I was thrilled to learn more. 16 years later and I’m still at Kraus-Anderson and loving every minute of what I do.
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
Attending as many network events as I can! It’s also a good time and reminder to celebrate those around you who you work with and recognize their successes.
