What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
I was with another company a while back and we worked on the Whipple Federal Building performing Asbestos Abatement, it was the biggest job ever performed in the history of the 5-state area, 18 Million. It was a difficult job but we pulled it off without a hitch on time and on budget.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
Through a friend who owned a national environmental company. I traveled 3 days a week while having 2 small children.
Why is it important to celebrate women in construction?
It is so important to celebrate women in construction, it’s not always easy to work in somewhat of a man’s world. Being in the industry for 30 years, I have seen so many powerful, smart women headed to the top of their companies, which I love!! As women, we need to stick together and help each other out.
