What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
I don’t know if I can pick just one favorite project! Since I am support staff I don’t get out to the field much, but I always love a project that allows me to get out to the field and talk with the employees to see how I can help them. I get great insight by watching them work. When I am out there talking to the field employees my mind immediately goes to how can I do something to make it easier for them. I am so proud of the work they do every day and excited to be part of their team.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
Officially, I started as a help desk technician 11 years ago supporting the field employees and office staff, but my first construction experience was long before that. My dad was a mason and I visited a lot of job sites to see him and help out a few summers in my teens.
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
I want to celebrate by calling out all of the women who have worked hard in the construction industry especially the women in the field. I want to make sure that all women know it is an industry they can excel in and show the younger women they can find a home in construction.
