What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
I started out working in the construction field as a Finish Carpenter, quickly learning the trade and then transitioning into the office. Being able to bring the knowledge I have accumulated out in the field into the office is by far my favorite project. Helping my company grow and learn with my knowledge and ideas is a great feeling.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
I remembered how much I enjoyed shop class in high school working on finer detailed projects and found a trade that translated that into a career. I researched Finish Carpentry and it was all uphill from there!
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
I will get together with other women in my company to appreciate each others’ accomplishments as well as celebrate other women I know from other companies for their accomplishments. Appreciate the women who have come before me so that I can be in the position I am in today.
