What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
At Ryan I lead and influence community and culture efforts both within the Minneapolis office and nationally. I have had the most pride in a recent Women’s Inclusion ERG where I spearheaded virtual events that provided a safe place to share with others, remain connected, and foster mental health awareness in a time where we needed it the most. I have been able to help champion and pave the way to create more Employee Resource Groups in the company. The women’s network was able to breakthrough COVID barriers and adapt quickly to the changes that came from the pandemic.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
I joined construction because of the culture of the company. I watched how they treated my husband, who has been at Ryan for 14 years, and I knew I wanted to be a part of Ryan- It is like being in a large extended family. The values that guide the business and people are real and tangible.
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
We are celebrating Women in Construction week by providing a week full of events, presentations and activities that celebrate the Women at Ryan and the industry as a whole. Our motto this year is “We Are ALL Construction.” Ryan has so many diverse roles that contribute to the success of the company.
