Company: Maverick Cutting and Breaking
Years in the industry: 3.5

What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?

My favorite project that Maverick has/still is working on would be the Terminal 1 Parking Ramp project at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. What we are doing there is cutting and removing the concrete and precast barrier walls on four different Helix’s, so that two parking ramps can connect. It is rewarding to be involved in such an intricate project that will eventually improve the traffic flow at the airport!

How did you get started in the construction industry?

Growing up, I watched my dad successfully work in the construction industry. Eventually, I knew this was the career path I wanted to take. I started off in a CSR role in our company, and then grew into my current position as a Project Manager Assistant at Maverick Cutting and Breaking.

How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?

This week gives me an opportunity to be appreciative to the women who I get to work with in this male dominant industry. I am also grateful that the company who I work for supports and encourages women in construction!
