What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
My favorite project to date is The Elk River High School Stadium project. Since I am on the bidding side of projects, I typically don’t get to witness the actual projects being built often. The Elk River Stadium project was basically in my backyard, so I was able to watch it every step of the way all the way. Our Project Manager and Field Personnel were great with providing me updates and explaining the process so I had a better understanding of all the work that was happening and why. It was so fun to see this one all the way from the bid to completion, as it gave me a greater understanding and sense of pride in what we all do day in and day out
How did you get started in the construction industry?
I was looking to work for a company with good core and family values while being able to do a job I enjoyed. When I interviewed with Rachel Contracting, I knew it was the right fit. Now that I’ve been in the construction industry, I can’t imagine being happy working in any other field.
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
I will be celebrating Women in Construction week alongside all the other talented and dedicated women at Rachel Contracting!
