What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
My first large project was Firstlight Health Systems. This hospital is located in my hometown. I took on the project as a PM and it was successful. I continue to refer back to this project as it taught me a lot about installation practices and curtainwall systems. I met a lot of great people and this project paved my success as a project manager.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
In high school I was in a business administration course that allowed me to participate in a work study. I worked at Star Quality Glass. I sold commercial and residential glass. After graduation, I accepted a position with Brin Glass and it’s been my home since.
How are you celebrating Women in Construction Week?
I am attending a few of the events but the Habitat for Humanity build is something I am really looking forward to since we have quite a few women from Brin attending this event. It’s a great opportunity to get out and help build a home for someone that needs it.
