Years in the industry?
8
What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on?
All our projects have their own uniqueness and differences, which makes them all fun to work on. If I had to pick just one, it would be the Avienda multi-use development in Chanhassen. This project incorporated all our field disciplines demolition, civil and utilities. It was fun to see such a large project start from nothing and become what it is today in such a short time.
How did you get started in the construction industry?
My first role within the industry was in the Treasury Department at a Minneapolis based construction company. A short time later I had the opportunity to join the Rachel Team where I have been the past six years. This has allowed me to be more hands on in all aspects of the construction operations.
Why is it important to celebrate women in construction?
Celebrating women in construction brings an appreciation & attention to the vital impact they have in the industry. From laborers to company leaders, women have always been invaluable assets to the project teams. Celebrating helps gain the recognition they all deserve & empower our next generations.
