Certified Small Subcontractors – Friend or Foe?

We all know public construction projects require you to meet subcontracting goals. The programs are intended to level the playing field since little has changed for small businesses. Without a goal, opportunity is limited. How can we change the industry to meet the objectives of the program? Barb Lau, Association of Women Contractors (AWC), will share ways in which you can be a leader in the industry working with diverse small businesses. Through relationship building, partnering, and mentorship, you can mitigate your risks and have successful outcomes with small businesses.
